Mise en scene is also known as clamps (Costume, Lighting, Actor, Movement, Props, Settings). Mise en scene is an element of film, it comes from the french meaning "put into the scene".  Mise en scene is important as it is everything that appears on screen, it is often used when the overall look and feel of the film is under discussion. Mise en scene adds to the realism, it makes it more believable and plausible, it also help the audience understand who the characters are and what they represent.
